Alia Shawkat was born in Riverside, California on the 18th of April 1989. She is currently one of America's most famous and wealthiest TV Actresses. She played Maeby Funke in the Fox show Arrested Development a role that was awarded a TV Land Future Classic Award. She was also in Whip It along with Ellen Page. Shawkat played Hannah in State of Grace from 2001-2004. Shawkat was Maeby Funke, a main cast member in Arrested Development. She played her role right from the start to the final episode. The role of Shawkat was often highlighted in the show's review. Brian M. Palmer, a pop-culture critic and commentator pointed out that Shawkat was among the brightest stars of the show that was dominated by bright stars. Scott Weinberg from eFilmCritic described her as a 'funny young lady. In an interview on The A.V. Shawkat revealed to the club that in 2010a large portion of Shawkat's early experiences as an actress occurred on Arrested Developement: Mitch Hurwitz was my father character. In a way, it was great because I felt that my knowledge of comedy was able to grow really quickly. In 2009, Shawkat appeared in Whip It co-star Har Mar Superstar's music video, Tall Boy which also featured Eva Mendes and Eric Wareheim. In October of 2009, it was revealed Shawkat Har Mar and Whip It's co-star Ellen Page would produce and create a series for HBO named Stitch N Bitch. As per The Hollywood Reporter, the show follows two extremely cool hipster girls as they relocate from Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood to the Los Angeles Silver Lake enclave to pursue careers as artists of whatever kind. Alice Braga played Teresa Mendoza in the crime thriller-drama TV show Queen of the South. (2016-2021). Braga received lots of praise and recognition for her character.
